I purchased this approximately two months ago. It has been field tested (by our evil incontinent cat) twice now, and not once has anything leaked through to the mattress below. I just bought a second one to use while the first is in the washing machine. I would highly recommend this product -- it is superior to anything you would find in store, and less expensive.

I love these covers. We have really deep mattresses and they fit fantastic. Unlike a few other reviewers, we have no "noise" of any kind from these covers. They were an excellant investment to protect our new beds!

This mattress pad was initially waterproof but after two or three washings, following the care directions it was as waterproof as a cotton sheet. If you want something waterproof that never requires washing, this is a great option. If you want something waterproof that needs to stay waterproof, try something else.
